While many Upscale hotels have gone pet-friendly and let the dogs in as guests the Fairmont Washington DC is taking canine care to a new level volunteering to serve as a puppy raiser for guiding eyes for the blind. On March 22nd the hotel will out the red carpet for its first resident puppy Marcie a 13-week-old black Labrador. For the next 14 to 18 months Fairmont Washington DC staff will help prepare Marcie for her future as a guide dog.

Exit the airport to the north. Follow the signs to memorial bridge. Cross the memorial bridge and stay in the left lane. Take the first lelal left turn onto 23rd street NW. Continue up to g street and make a left turn. Go 1 block to the stop sign 24th street and turn right. Continue on 24th. you will cross m street NW. The hotel entrance is on the left.

From - IAD
Take the dulles access road to route 66. Take route 66 east toward washington. Follow 66 over the Roosevelt bridge. Stay in the left lane of the bridge and take the exit for E street. The exit puts you at 20th street NW. At 20th street NW make a left turn and follow to m street NW. Make a left turn on m street. go four blocks and make a right on 24th street NW. The hotel entrance is on the left.

From - BWI
Take 95 south to 495 west towards silver spring this will put you on the capital beltway. Take exit 33avenue south for approximately 6 miles. When you reach m street make a right turn. continue almost eight blocks to 24th street and make another right. The hotel entrance will be on the left side of the street.
